In 2020, BKG found themself on social media and in the press educating and sharing about their experiences as a Black queer person in America. By the end of the year, they were depleted, and missing joy. Missed telling dick jokes. They’re a comedian after all. So in a desperate attempt to lift their spirits, they got on their Instagram story, looked into the camera, and said, “Tell me something good or messy!” Who knows what BKG expected, but what they got were some horny ass submissions! Okay?! Baby, the people were famished to talk about sex and BKG was so happy to provide a shame-free space to do so! Every Monday, for almost five years, BKG has reacted to, discussed, and given advice about all things relationships, love, and identity, all of which earned them a title they’re most proud of, Messy Mom! Now Messy Mondays has expanded into a Substack— a weekly blog for people ready to live boldly, explore their truth, and heal the parts of themselves shame tried to erase. Messy is another word for Human. And Messy Mondays is a compassionate space to be curious about our humanity—especially as it relates to relationships, sex, and identity! Weekly offerings include livestreams, essays, The Messy Mom Pod, and group chats rooted in disruptive curiosity!
Subscribe below to the Messy Mondays Substack for weekly posts from BKG!
